In Memory

Superior STEAM is grateful to Danny & Sandy Daugherty.

Danny owned a maintenance contracting company called Superior Kiln and Mill. This is where our club name originated from. Danny was a big advocate of STEAM in Lawrence County. He donated and remodeled a building he was using for storage so that kids in the community could learn not only engineering, but life skills. He was a self-taught engineer who wanted to give kids a place to learn, grow, and have fun.

His wife, Sandy, continues to be an advocate for STEAM in Lawrence County. She has graciously and generously allowed us to meet at "our" building.

Today we carry his memory and continue his legacy.

Thank you Danny & Sandy!
